Hello everyone, sorry I have not posted for a while. Things have been busy in a good way. The latest good news I have for everyone is that Tiff and I are now dating. It’s been different just adjusting to a dating relationship, a good different. She is such a beautiful person inside and out. She has been such a blessing on my life in many many ways. Praise God for making someone as beautiful as her, truly God is an awesome God. =)
School has now started and I am taking 13 units this semester. Not a very heavy load but a decent amount of work as I am aiming for straight A's this semester. My hardest class would probably be my argumentive debate class because the professor sets very high standards for his students. I look forward to the challenge and room to improve my speaking skills.
Spiritually God has been teaching me to rely on Him even more as he chips away at my prideful and selfish heart. I have come to understand how we as people lack faith in believing that God is good and that He wants the best for us, instead of relying on myself. He has been showing great love thru my relationship with Tiff. Experiencing His love and grace thru her has been such great joy in my life. Tiff and I both agree that our relationship has been so good because we are both experiencing God's love and grace at a deeper love thru our relationship with each other, praise God. I've been reminded that constant prayer, being thankful and relying on the Lord is the best way to live life. It is not for the weak but its for those who wants to be truly strong because thru God comes infinite strength. Praise and glory to the Heavenly Father who is good all the time.
At work today we talked about the recent "Tsunami Song" by Todd Lynn and Miss Jones. The song was played on “HOT 97” radio station in NYC. You can read for yourselves the lyrics ->here<-. To summarize the song, it tries to be funny by makes fun of the recent tsunami victims in Southeast Asia with a racist remarks and derogatory comments about Asians. The tsunami song is neither funny nor appropriate for the tragedy of the deaths of hundreds of thousand of victims in the recent tsunami. (who were mostly Indian and not Chinese)? With lyrics like "...you could hear all the screaming chinks...Little chinamen swept away, you could hear God laughing "swim bi*hes swim, swim...” the song is clearly racist and cruel. What idiots would write songs like that, GG their jobs and careers. As an Asian person, there are 2 important things that should be learned from this incident:
1) As an Asian, we should be aware of our ingrained racists thoughts against Hispanics, Whites, Blacks and other races. I mean seriously we are all racist in some way or form. We must realize that our way of thinking about other races is wrong and puts us in no better shoes then those who wrote the “Tsunami Song.” God's 2nd great commandment is to love others as you would love yourself.
2) As an Asian, we need to speak up against racism again the Asian people. Realize that there is racism against the Asians in our society. We need to speak up and stand up for ourselves. People pick on Asians because they think Asians are quiet and that we don’t speak up and stand up for ourselves in a non-violent manure, "do the right thing". That’s what they thought when they wrote the “Tsunami Song” and boy were they wrong as the Asian community is speaking up and standing up against such a idiot song.
